The Opportunity 

Reporting into the Senior Medical Advisor, you will provide both advice on clinical decisions that require consideration by a medical practitioner but also play a key business partner role across a range of strategic initiatives that our Member Health team are exploring – which will include supporting the development of innovative models of care and services aimed at improving the health of our members.

Areas of Clinical decision include:

• Pre-existing Condition determinations
• Clinical Ex Gratia grants
• Accidents and Incidents
• Clinical review of health information content for publishing on Medibank websites
• Providing advice into new clinical programs

About You

This role suits a registered Medical Doctor with minimum 3 – 4 years’ clinical experience, who is passionate and has a progressive mind set about health care.

You will be a driver for positive change and work towards the bigger goal of helping our community with continuously improving our health system.

This role requires an individual also has had exposure in a business or consulting context – where you have been able to build capability across areas such as strategy, operational excellence, transformation, or other initiatives. 

Key to this role is a strong analytical skill set, an interest in supporting the evolution of the health care system and a capability to work collaboratively as a business partner across Member Health and more broadly across Medibank.

This is a true business partnering role where strong stakeholder management and communication skills will be essential.
